The short version
Google Forms creates and owns the source form. Form303 is an enhancement layer that reads a permitted source and publishes a separate branded experience. They are complementary in the workflow rather than equivalent products.

The table was reviewed against Google’s public Forms product information and Form303’s current implementation on 27 August 2026. Product capabilities can change; source links appear in this page’s metadata and are reviewed when the page changes.
Import relationship
Form303 requests Forms body read-only and Drive metadata read-only scopes. The source is not overwritten. The importer maps simple questions, choices, scales, ratings, grids, sections and media. File uploads stay visible as blocked items. Unknown items generate warnings.
Branding relationship
Google Forms includes its own theme controls. Form303 offers a different public presentation with theme imagery, palette editing, brand copy and asset references. A Form303 theme does not change how the original form appears at its Google URL.
Sharing relationship
Google provides its own send and sharing workflow. Form303 publishes an immutable revision at a Form303 slug and keeps the link recoverable through My Forms. These are separate public URLs.
Choose Google Forms alone when
- Native styling is enough.
- Google-managed file uploads are required.
- You do not want another publishing layer.
- The form is internal or purely functional.
Add Form303 when
- The form already exists and should not be rebuilt.
- Brand presentation is a material part of trust or conversion.
- Creators need an explicit import report and a memorable Form303 link.
- A separate public presentation is acceptable.
Current limitations
Form303 does not replace Google’s editor, ownership, file-upload system or every Forms feature. It requires a verified Google connection for import and publish. Custom domains, billing tiers, conditional logic and Google Sheets synchronisation are outside the current beta feature set.
