What can Google Forms customise natively?
Google Forms provides useful baseline controls: text styles, a header image, a theme colour and a page background colour. Those settings are enough for a quick internal survey or a simple public questionnaire. They do not provide a complete branded page layout, a theme gallery with editable palettes or a Form303 subdomain.
That distinction matters. Form303 does not claim Google Forms cannot be customised. It addresses the presentation gap after those native options stop being sufficient.
A separate presentation, not a risky overwrite
Form303 uses an explicitly authorised Google connection and minimum read-only scopes to retrieve Forms content and Drive metadata. It maps the received items into a Form303 schema and reports the result before you style or publish it.
The source form remains available in Google. The Form303 draft stores the imported structure and its own presentation settings. This keeps the branded experience separate from Google’s editor and avoids pretending Form303 can write changes back to the original form.
A practical customisation workflow
- Open the Form303 studio and connect the Google account linked to your Form303 account.
- Paste the authorised Google Forms edit URL.
- Review imported items and any explicit warnings.
- Choose a theme, edit the palette, add your logo or background, and update the introduction.
- Preview the form at desktop or mobile width.
- Publish when the schema has no blocking file-upload question and the Google connection is valid.
Themes should be starting points
Form303’s themes are not locked templates. Bold Creative, Editorial Minimal, Coastal Organic, Warm Human and Dark Luxe provide distinct art direction while allowing palette changes. Your brand should remain recognisable even when you begin with a preset.
See the branding controls and browse current themes.
Memorable sharing without custom-domain theatre
Published Form303 links use a short slug. In production that can appear as a Form303 subdomain. Form303 does not currently promise customer-owned custom domains, automatic link expiry or paid link retention. Those are separate product decisions and are not described as available features.

Current limitations
An email account is required to save. A verified Google connection is required to import and publish. File-upload items are represented in the draft but block publishing until signed uploads exist. The current themes improve presentation, but Form303 does not rewrite Google’s question logic or claim support for unverified integrations.
